About Permanent Future Lab

Permanent Future Lab is a decentralized movement that shares innovative, limited available and open technology with society at publicly accessible locations. These locations provides access to technology that is not always being used by the sharer.

By stimulating the above the idea is to:

  • Make technology accessible to a larger and broader audience.
  • Limit the gap between the technology sector and society.

The world is changing rapidly, mainly caused by upcoming new technology. Like most new-to-the market products, new technology does not necessarily match with the needs of current society. The end-user needs to be familiar with, like or adopt it. However, different than most new-to-the market products, technology can influence society on a different level and scale with disruptive consequences, especially if it is connected to the digital world. The movement stimulates the society to learn, think and/or do something with these new developments. By sharing knowledge online with others, co-creating and developing new, better ideas for example.

Supporting this the Permanent Future Lab movement follows a philosophy based upon three core values.

Available Innovations in the Labs

The initiators of the movement invites anyone interested in innovations or anyone just curious about the future to take a look inside a Permanent Future Lab. You are more than welcome to try all the innovative devices in a Permanent Future Lab around at the location of your choice. Mostly you'll find things such as a 3D printer, robots, Virtual Reality, wearables and Internet of Things devices.
