Makey Makey

From Permanent Future Lab

The Makey Makey is an electronic invention toy that allows users to connect everyday objects to computer programs. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the toy uses electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal.

How to use Makey Makey[edit | edit source]

  1. Connect the Makey Makey to your computer using a mini USB cable.
  2. Connect the alligator clips to anything that conducts electricity.
  3. Create a closed loop electrical signal by holding the 'earth' cable and tap an connected object at the same time.

Result: a keyboard stroke or mouse click.
