From Permanent Future Lab

The Permanent Future Lab movement is founded by Jurjen de Vries and Samir Lahiri. Jurjen was inspired by Seats2meet.com and the Society 3.0 book. By sharing his Google Glass to Seats2meet.com visitors he discovered that unexpected things happened. Jurjen also met Samir in an unexpected way. By sharing their passion for innovation they started a journey that created the Permanent Future Lab. The first location where space is being provided to share innovation is Seats2meet.com Utrecht CS (the Netherlands).

Others have been joining the movement by sharing out of abundance with items like innovative hardware and time. Anybody can share at any publicly available space. To optimally facilitate this a few roles have been identified that can be used for setting up any physical location of a Permanent Future Lab.

People participating in the movement agree to:

  • Follow the Permanent Future Lab movement philosophy which is based upon three core values.
  • Work by intrinsic motivation.
  • Share out of abundance.
  • Have a click together.

Initiator

A (co)initiator with passion for innovation and hardware. Sometimes a geek or nerd. The initiator is more then average busy with discovering new innovations and is social in sharing findings and knowledge.

Host

A host keeps the space orderly, shows visitors around and keeps track on the available hardware being shared.

What it means to:

  • Bulleted list item

Keepg the space orderly • Shing visitors around • Keeping track of available hardware

Naturally, the host understands the philosophy and transfers this knowledge to the visitors. In such a way that sharing is being stimulated.
